Flower of a Girl

Production Notes

"On trying to do it all"
This is the first film where I was writer/director and producer. I didn't have production insurance and didn't think I needed it, since I was shooting in my apartment and in my co-op's garden. Three days before the shoot was to begin, I was asked for my copy of insurance for shooting in the garden. I said, "Oh sure. I'll send it over." Then I spent a frantic day on the phone trying to track down anyone who could issue a certificate of insurance in a day or two. Luckily, I found someone (and doubled the cost of production!)

At the Staten Island Film Festival, I sat behind two older women. As "Flower of A Girl" finished, one turned to her friend and declared, "That was awful!"
